Groups of different nationalities will perform behind the NicolaiChurch and in the centre of Appingedam.
From 20.30 there will be performances at several pubs.
Saturday 25th. of August.
From 11.00 - 17.00 hrs. Groups will perform in the centre of Appingedam.
It is also possible to join one of the shanty-groups on board a canalboat-trip
Between 13.00 and 17.00 hrs.
There is a very nice program on stage, behind the Nicolaichurch with groups from all over the world.
There is a maritime market as well.
But one can also listen to shanty groups in the centre of the town.
From 15.00 hrs there are performances in several pubs in Appingedam.
Concert Nicolaichurch
A special concert will be held inside the Nicolaichurch, where the foreign groups will perform.
From 21.00 hrs there are performances near “the Kameleon”and from 22.00 also
in most of the pubs in town.
From 22.00 a big Shantyslam will take place in Hotel “het Wapen van Leiden“.
During this event all groups get a chance to sing once more, together with the audiance.
Sunday 26th of August.
From 13.00 -18.00 hrs.
Several shanty groups from all over the world will perform behind the Nicolaichurch.
There will also be a maritime market.
From 15.00 hrs. Performances by several shantygroups in the pubs.
And also today it is possible to go on a canalboat trip with one of the shantygroups.
